Haggetts Pond, Andover MA Fishing Report

Pre-spawn Bass

We got out on the lake by 730 Sunday morning, pleasantly warmer than I thought it would be. Water temps were ranging from 52-60 degrees, a huge range given the small size of the lake. Not surprisingly all the fish we caught were in water that was warmer than 57. We threw everything but the kitchen sink... I was eager to try out alot of new gear from the offseason, but came up empty. I cant say I was all that frustrated, I admit most of what I was throwing was new to me. I tied on a orange pumpkin yama creature and 2 minutes later hooked into this 3.4lb larry.

  • # of Fish Caught: 3
  • Water Type: freshwater
  • Type of Fish: Largemouth Bass
  • Fish Weight (Max): 3 lbs. 4 oz.
  • Bait Type: Creature Check Prices
  • Bait Details: Orange Pumpkin Yama creature... my go-to soft plastic
  • Location Details: Normally you cannot access the area we were in... With the heavy flooding recently, it was nice to cruise right in, land some big fish, and cruise right out without having to fight the weed growth that usually chokes the area.
