North Pond is the eighth body of water
in a series of lakes flowing south in the St.
George river drainage. A brown trout program
was first initiated in 1968 and seized in 1999,
for the time being, do to the lack of
sufficient returns and poor water quality
during the summer months. The sea run alewife
population should contribute as a stable forage
base in the summer months to the warm water fish populations.
There are two unimproved access points on
North Pond. One is available at the outlet via dot turnout on the Western road; the other is an unimproved launching facility. at a private campground at the southern end of the pond viaroute 1.
