Halfmoon Pond Description

Halfmoon Pond is a crystal-clear picturesque pond situated on the southern slope of Pond Hill An experimental spring yearling brook trout stocking program was initiated in 1993 after continued stockings of smaller fall-fingerling trout failed to provide a fishery. To date no appreciable numbers of trout have been returned to the angler. If the brook trout stocking program is determined to have failed then brown trout may be experimentally stocked and evaluated.
Access to Halfmoon Pond is via a foot trail from state route 203, a distance of approximately one-half mile.
