I just went out on Mooselookmeguntic lake in Oquossoc, which is next to Rangeley. I rented a boat from Bald Mountain Camps Resort, and they pointed me in the right direction which just happens to be right across the lake from them, to troll in the right channel for some great Salmon and Brook trout fishing. The Smelt are still running, on the tail end now, but still a good. I have been trying for some of the 6 pound salmon I have seen getting caught, but I have not hooked up to one of those monsters yet. But it is very steady with hits and hook ups.
Do your self a favor and come on up to Oquossoc, get a cabin and a boat or bring your own boat, they have a boat launch. And do some fishing.
