Nestled in a scenic cove at the south east end of the pristine Aziscohos Lake in the western mountains of Maine, Black Brook Cove Campground offers the "real Maine" camping experience. After ice out in early spring the regions lakes become active with fisherman trolling for salmon and brook trout. These waters include Aziscohos, Rangeley, Mooselookmeguntic, Cupsuptic, and Upper and Lower Richardson Lakes. Beaver Island is in the middle of the lake. Aziscohos Lake is accessed by the ramp at Black Brook Cove Campground further down Route 16. Check with campground personnel regarding the dangerously shallow spots on Aziscohos Lake before venturing out.
